About Sally Rosenbaum Store

Thanks for your interest in Sally Rosenbaum Store.
Biography

Sally Rosenbaum's contemporary California impressionist paintings bring to life the sun-washed peace of a garden in spring; a place where the subjects seem to have all the time in the world to soak up the sun, arrange flowers, share poetry, write love letters, chat with a child, or simply enjoy solitude. She is a resident of northern California and paints in her studio at home using friends and family as models. "I marvel at the visual and love the beauty of gardens, interiors and the warmth of the sun across a composition. In my paintings I like to show moments in time that invite reflection and celebrate the life of sensation, inner thought and contemplation, " she states.

Her work is currently shown in galleries throughout the United States and her work has been reproduced by Landmark, Marcel Shurman Fine Papers, Papyrus, American Greetings, and Broderbund. She holds a B.A. in fine art from UC Berkeley several teaching credentials and has done graduate work in the fields of sculpture, education and painting. Her academic background is rich from the formal training she has received from individuals who are remarkable in their fields. She has studied with individuals as diverse as Elmer Bischoff, David Simpson, Peter Voulkos, Earl Loran, and Don Hatfield. In her paintings she successfully weaves together her appreciation for design, color, and story in her own unique way. copyright Sally Rosenbaum 2000.
